Playboy planning a memorial to Anna Nicole Smith.

TMZ has learned that Playboy magazine’s top editors are currently in conference with founder Hugh Hefner to determine the best way to commemorate the deceased 1993 Playmate of the Year in the magazine’s pages. Smith had been on the cover of Playboy five times between 1992 and 2001.
Playboy is, of course, a monthly magazine; the April issue has already gone to press, and the May edition was scheduled to ship imminently.
For now, the only reference to her death is on the Playboy.com editor’s blog, where as of 3:56 PM (CST) a tasteful “shoulders and above” black & white shot of Smith, evocative of Marilyn Monroe, carried this message:
“The entire Playboy family is saddened to learn of Anna Nicole Smith’s untimely passing this afternoon. Anna was our 1993 Playmate of the Year, and also a wonderful ambassador to our readers. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her friends and family.”
Hef, in the meantime, also released a personal statement from the magazine’s offices in Los Angeles, describing Smith as “a dear friend who meant a great deal to the Playboy family, and to me personally.”. . . . .Source: TMZ

The life and death of Anna Nicole Smith is what great tragedies are made of. It’s almost poetic. I wonder how long before the movie is made. Who will play Anna? Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, or Paris Hilton?

Her Mother is a piece of crap. Her MOTHER, never tried to see her, never tried to be a REAL MOTHER to her, Never even saw her Grandson or attempted to. Who the hell does she think she is?
Now she is saying the one man who has stood by Anna all these years of, that he MURDERED her.
Howard has gone through Anna’s pain and now is trying to protect his daughter from the money grapping people, who now want a piece of Anna’s life and financial success.

I do not care that you are a grandparent, you did not want your daughter and never tried to show compassion or love what so ever before she died, even before the death of Daniel. If your daughter hated you before her death, then my God woman, do you think she wants you around her baby? Why, so you can hurt and forget to love your blood, treat her the same way you did as Anna. Stay away from that little girl. You horrible sick, nasty woman. Even in your own daughters death, you straight away, try and make the public despise her. Evil is your name.
Howard, protect that little girl, God gave her to you, now keep the blood hounds off her.
I am so sorry for your loss and I will pray for you. How can people be so cruel towards another human being. She made mistakes and had NO PARENTS to guide her in the right direction. Who are we to judge that poor woman? She tried to survive this cruel world, without her first-born.
Now leave her alone.

Aside from the makeshift memorial site at the coroner’s office where Anna is currently resting, it is good to see you stepping up and finally doing what is right by planning a memorial. Please do not forget to give the address so that her fans and well-wishers may send flowers or whatever they can.
Unfortunaltely, the media has concentrated on all things but how the public feels. We have had only Blogs, and the internet to leave our sympathies in this sad time. To have an “ACTUAL PROPER MEMORIAL” for Anna, coming from the Playboy Family could only be in the most impecable taste and proper for one of their leading Ladies of “Grace”. Anna was many things, she did walk to the beat of a different drummer, but no one can take away that she was an incredible mother, and person most of the time.Let her leave this world with a dignified send off in a celebration of her life. I know that playboy can do this,like no other, seflessly!
