Anna hated her mother and I saw the interview where she blasted her mother for everything she said after Daniel died. And she hasn’t seen her mother in over ten years. What makes her mother think that Anna would want her near her daughter now. This baby is being pulled in so many directions and should just stay where she is for now. All the leaches and sharks are coming out. But you don’t see Anna’s father flying out to the Bahamas. But Anna’s daughter Dannielynn Hope is now being taken care of by Howard’s mother and sister who have flown to the Bahamas. She was first being taken care of by the mother of Shane Gibson, a high-ranking Bahamian official and close friend of Anna and Howard. You can read here updates I did earlier and everything that pissed me off today while watching the news about all of this. Like Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband Frederick Von Anhalt is now saying he could be the father of Dannie Lynn.
TMZ has obtained exclusive photos of Anna Nicole Smith’s mother, Virgie Arthur, on her way out of a Bahamian police station just hours after she arrived in the Bahamas.
Arthur scheduled the emergency trip to the islands to “check all her options” in the custody battle over her granddaughter, Dannielynn — this according to a close family friend who is currently on the trip.
According to our source, “Virgie is very concerned for the safety and well-being of her granddaughter. The man who has custody of Dannielynn (Howard K. Stern) was with her daughter and grandson Daniel when they died … under mysterious circumstances. All she cares about is the welfare of the baby.”. . . . .Source: TMZ

“She won’t touch my child,” says Anna Nicole Smith about her mother, Virgie.
In the last decade-and-a-half leading up to the birth of her baby daughter, DANNIELYNN HOPE, ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s relationship with her birth mother, VIRGIE ARTHUR, has been strained, to say the least.
“I want to say to her, ‘How dare you,’” says Anna Nicole to ET’s MARK STEINES regarding the accusation. “First of all, she’s not my mother, she’s my birth mother. Second of all, she doesn’t know me, she doesn’t know my son. I left home when I was 15 years old. She hasn’t seen my son since he was probably about five years old.
Anna Nicole also says she has no intention of allowing Virgie to be a part of her newborn daughter’s life: “She won’t touch my child,” she insists. “She’ll never.”

Lets just put it like this…if my daughter suddenly died for no apparent cause – at age 39 – I would be SO DEVASTATED that I would not be able to speak – “Vergie” has not been shy at all with the new attention on her.

For those of you criticizing Vergie, let me set the record straight. She already HAD a job – she is a retired Texas peace officer and one of the nicest women I have ever met. In all the years I’ve known her she tried many, many times to mend relations with her daughter. (And by the way, “Bright Eyes” she IS her birth mother – perhaps a little fact-checking on your part should have taken place before your rant.) She has never wanted any of her daughter’s money, and lives quite comfortably on her retirement. As for her “reaction” to her daughter’s death, how DARE anyone judge a mother who has lost a child! Unless it has happened to you, you have no right to judge another for the way they handle their grief. Shame on all of you.

There hasn’t been a shred of printed or video clips since her daughter died where she shows how much she “LOVED” her daughter. The only thing that comes out of her mouth is venom, AND no tears to boot.
As a mother, it pains me to tell you that I went to the coroners office to leave a small sentiment for Anna Nicole, I started the only memorial in south Florida on the steps of the Medical examiner’s office where “VERGIES daughter lays cold”
This is the first place she should have gone, NOT the talk shows, Not the Bahamas. As usual, Anna was an afterthought. Right “Mommie Dearest”
PS. Maybe she was trying to chase the money trail to give Anna a proper funeral$$$??

What a sad thing you are going through! You are doing what any responsible Mom could only do after losing your grand son and your daughter who was miserably on level 6 heavy duty pain killers/ drugs. These drugs are what has separated you from your daughter, and the reason you are now trying to protect your baby grand daughter. My heart goes out to you, and may God shelter you from this terrible abuse you are going through. Look, we moms all make mistakes, but you did warn your dauther, Anna, and what a terrible mess this has created. I know you do not blame Anna, but the drugs, and the evil people she (because of those drugs) allowed herself to hang out with. So terribly sad. Mom tries to appeal to Anna to stop with the drugs, she gets dumped. Son goes to see Anna in the hospital, (Where DID he get the Methadone, people?) He dies shortly after. Stern may not have killed them, but he allowed the drugs. He leaves her in the hotel with 105
degree fever, do you know how serious it is when an adult has that high a fever?
What is wrong with that? So, Anna didin’t want to go to a doctor, and he’s such a yes
man, he allows it and goes and buys the boat. Continuing to do what Anna wants. Look,

I don’t think she is at all sorry about her daughter’s death otherwise she would be mourning her death instead of going to the bahamas to inquire about custody of the baby and her millions. If she really cared about the baby she should realize that she is far better taken care of by Howard an his family and let them be. I agree with you on the drug issue. BUT, Anna DID whatever Anna wants. Howard couldn’t make her stop, no one but Anna could, with medical help!. But he was taking steps to ge her away from her crowd. Don’t get me wrong, where Howard is concerned I have many doubts about that man. My issue with Vergie is, why didn’t she come directly to Florida to claim Anna, to see her. By the way, I lost my brother to drugs and he ended up at that very same Coroner’s office, so I know of what I speak. They would not let me see him, so I don’t think Vergie should get special treatment either. BUT she could have made an effort, to ask questions about the last day of her daughter’s life, to shed ONE lonley tear. Believe me, I am only reacting to Vergie’s lack of Mother Touch when it comes to Anna. Vergie comes off cold, hateful, full of venom, and accusations, FOR GOD’S SAKE, she blamed Anna for her grandson’s death! Mommie Dearest!? Definetely!
My brother died a painful death because of drugs,(we were not speaking either, tough love,not slander like Vergie) and my first resonse was to go see him. Even though they didn’t let me, it never stopped me from going, to try to piece the last hours of his life, to try to do whatever I could. In the end, I was sitting on the steps of the coroner’s office, crying my eyes out, mourning my brother. They will however, let her see pictures of Anna. (Florida law allows that, for family members, they won’t allow us to view the body because they claim that they are not a funeral home and for Law enforcement reasons)
Another question, If Vergie thought that Anna was that bad years ago, why didn’t she try to get Daniel away from that atmosphere thru legal venues. Sure she hurts, I believe she is more embarrassed! That is my opinion

Please God, Do not let virgie get this baby or Anna’s body. It is NOT what Anna wanted. She would want to be with her son. As for Howard, I don’t believe he hurt anyone and that he takes wonderful care of that baby and loves her very much. But I also believe that Larry Birkhead is the biological father and he will get the baby. I feel bad for Howard because I know he knows he will lose Dannielynn, The only piece of Anna he has left. But these judges need to make the right choice and realize that Anna wanted NOTHING to do with her mother. Please let Anna rest with her son, and please let Dannielynn be loved and taken care of. May god be with Howard Stern as well. I feel he probably has drug issues as well, but I dont believe he is a mean person. I worry for his well being if he loses Dannielynn. I to pray that she will not be given to her mother to be buried in texas. I read an article where a preacher in texas was ashamed of anna nicole and did not claim her. He said they did not acknowledge anna in texas. She wanted to be with her son. In all the interviews with anna she clearly dispised her mother, then WHY is it even being considered that her mom be given custody of her body to do what ever she wants? I am deeply disturbed by her mother and believe with all my heart she is after the money. I believe there are two sides to every person first their public persona then their family and home persona. I personally think that Vergie is being extremely selfish in this whole thing. We all know that Anna adored her son and would surely want to be buried near him. Some tv stations say that she died with a broken heart after the loss of Daniel. Wouldn’t that be enough for people to see that she would want to be with him in death? I think that if her mother loved her that much, she would want her daughter to be with her grandson. The fact that she wants to take Anna back and leave Daniel in the Bahamas shows me that she just wants to make a mockery out of this whole thing. She seems greedy to me as well. I don’t think she wants the baby for anything but for the money she will get. Maybe people should honor Annas wishes and keep her mother away from her child. Obviously Anna wasn’t stupid and I’m sure she had great reason for the hate she had for her mother. Just because someone brings us into this world, doesn’t mean we have to love them. Ok people, enough already. I just read some of the entries and had to chuckle at a few. First of all, all teenage and adult children don’t one time or another say they hate their moms. I’m living proof. Secondly, some are talking about Vergie like she is the victim in this whole thing. Come on. I am a mom of teenagers and adult children. If one of my children were in trouble with drugs or anything else, NOTHING would keep me from trying to help them. If they hated me as much as Anna hated her mom? I would still do anything I could to help. Whether it be talk to therapists, doctors or anyone that could help me help her. It would have at least shown Anna that she cared about her. Instead she went on with her life in Texas, retired and doing just fine. She should have spent every waking hour trying to save her daughter from drugs. PERIODDDD. A caring and loving mom will pull out all the stops to help their child live. Vergie didn’t do any of it. She ignored the fact that she had a daughter who was killing herself. Then there is the accusation that Howard could have killed Daniel and Anna. Oh my God I laughed out loud. Everyone who is saying stupid comments like that make it sound as if Anna was just a stupid blonde. Do you think she got through modeling and everything else she did by being dumb? Think about it. Give her some credit please. She wrote a will and gave Howard power of attorney. She had him on the birth certificate of her daughter. If he was a monster, don’t you think she would have known? Anna had reasons to hate her mother and its not up to us to judge whether she should have or not. The bottom line is it was HER feelings. If Howard is the father, which I hope he is for Annas sake, I hope he obides by Annas wishes and keeps the baby away from Vergie. She was Annas baby and Anna is the only one who could have made that decision. How would you feel if you decided something and then found out that people went against your wishes? Its just not right.

I forgot something. To Annie…you say that she is the mother/grandmother. This is true, but still doesn’t give her the right to go against Anna’s wishes. You also said that Anna called her mother while she was in the hospital at one time. How long ago? And maybe Anna was in a druggy state when she called. Not only that, we all have lapses of judgement once and a while and she could have just felt badly for the moment. The fact is that at the end right before her death, she hated her mother and wanted her wishes granted. You also say that Vergie was involved in many programs in Texas. Why wasn’t she in any program to help her own child? Why didn’t she do everything she could to help Anna? And if she did, why didn’t she move her ass closer to her daughter so she could help her? No one likes drug usage and as a mom, I would hate it as well. Hating it isn’t going to help my daughter though is it? If she’s so respected in Texas, then she shouldn’t have left there and let things alone. There is enough turmoil going on without her coming out of the woodwork to spread her nastiness around. Great! Now Anna’s long lost father is coming out of the woodwork to “view” his daughters body, which he was advised against. He also say’s Anna should go to Texas!!! The only reason Anna should not be buried in the Bahamas, would be in the event of foul play proven on the part of Howard K. Stern. I believe Anna should be buried next to Howard Marshall. With that thought it would be perfectly fine to move Daniel, so that the 3 of them would be together. Only in the event of these circumstances would that be a plausible choice. Her parents are doing what anyone would do. Some because they care. Some for the money, and let’s not underestimate the “15 minutes.” Many involved are basking in the latter. One great example would be the Cabbie to Cash who I hope would never delay this case any further for a few more turns on the ride. This is for all those of you who have never had a child on drugs. We were accused of horrible things done to my daughter that were just a figment of her drug soaked brain. Don’t you know they have to have some reason to justify their horrible behavior. You get to a point where you have to detach from them or you would go insane. Drug addicts also have to have their enablers as Howard was with Anna. He is the one who couldn’t say no to her. He helped to kill her. Just the grief of having a child on drugs is like a death. You are always fearful that you will get that one phone call. It is the drugs, if I had done all the things to my daughter that she said I did, I should have been in jail. Now she is clean, and told me with her own lips that she had to have an excuse to other people why she was an addict. Do anything to protect the addiction. Check out drug addiction. It separates families. It leaves a lot of victims……

i also think that the baby should not go to the VIRGIE. Its pretty clear;let anna nicole tell the judge herself with all the pass interviews. there is enough said on tape or interviews how she felt about her mom. if its decided otherwise, i really think that her last wishes were not heard.

I really believe Howard was a great witness today. He was genuine and truly distraught. As for the paternity, This judge should have no jurisdiction over getting involved, when LEGALLY this baby is Howard Stern’s, and it is up to Larry to file the proper documents in a Bahamian Court to prove otherwise. I too hope that Howard is Dannielynn’s father. Only he could share with her just who her mother was. and I believe that he loved Anna more than anyone else. Including Larry. and for sure Virgie Pirgie puddin & pie. I know people in my own life that have struggled with drugs. and though we have all tried to help these people, in the end they do what they want. Howard did not force drugs on Anna. It was clear that though at times she seemed under the influence, she was strong willed and did what she wanted to. Isn’t it just the way of humans though. Gotta have someone to blame it on. Must be someone else’s fault. This drama will certainly not end anytime soon. We will wake up one day and it will be 20 years later and there will be a beautiful young woman that we will see and she will have questions about her mother. Poor Dannielynn. What will she think when she is old enough to understand that her mother laid in the M.E.’s office for so long? I only wish for her sake that she could grow up somewhere where the media could never get to her.

My grandfather is a judge and my ex is an attorney. I have never seen antics displayed in this florida courtroom. I bet that if this whole thing werent televised, it would long be over. after watching the trial and hearing the news reports of the trial the news reporters are saying that the judge is favoring vergie, does this not worry anyone else? does anyone know that if the judge rules for vergie can howard appeal? and what would happen to annas body while this takes place? It amazes me that vergie has been caught in a lie about being paid by splash news for information on Anna’s life! the judge tells howard to keep his answers to only yes or no, but lets vergie go on and on with her answers. Vergie to me is not even a very good actress if the judge cant see that im amazed! However, I also think that he is too immature to raise a child. It seems to me that he is more interested in pursueing his photography than raising a child. I think he is the father from what the testimony said. I am concerned though of how Howard plans on making money in the Bahamas. I would have felt better if he had a plan in place that he could tell the judge. I think that hurt him a lot. His parents can’t go on forever supporting him. I did think that Larry helped out Howards case by saying Anna wanted to be with Daniel and if Daniel is in the Bahamas, then that’s where she should be. Any sane person knows this. Also, as far as I’m concerned, a grave site is just that. A final place. I personally don’t see the big deal of having to have the grave near the baby. Yes, she will probably want to visit her mother on occasion, but lets face it, she really won’t know her mother to form that kind of bond. People are buried in other parts of the country all the time and loved ones and go and see them. I know to some its a big concern, but in the scheme of things, the baby will know her mother only if the father talks about her. Whats grandma gonna tell her??? For the record to those who have judged virgie in a negative way….. First and foremost this is a mother who loved her daughter, regardless of no communication with Anna Nicole in the last 12 years. This choice was made by Anna and not by her Mother. Anna was traveling as a train wreck, ready to happen many years ago. NO ONE can reach out to a POWERFUL drug user with POWERFUL money to support POWERFUL and sad destructive habit. Virgie had proof in court that her and Anna Nicole had a loving relationship until anna was 28 yrs old and started using drugs. The photos where present to prove it in court. If Virgie was so horrible, why would Anna leave her son to be raised by Virgie until 7 yrs old? I am sure Anna’s love for Daniel was strong and she would not have left him in his grandmothers care if she felt he would be harmed in any way. Daniel would probably have lived with Virgie, his grandmother longer, if Anna did not meet Marshall. After all, he bought her a home for Anna and Daniel. That is why Daniel finally went to live with his mother, Anna. Virgie loved Anna as much as Anna loved Daniel. Bear in mind, servere drug users only hang with those who do not care enough to tell them or help them get off the drugs. And they also hang with those who are doing it with them. A servere drug user will find a million reasons why the do not want to talk to people who care. They are not wanting or willing to get off the drugs and so they do not want to hear anyone. They will run and hide to avoid hearing anything that would stop them from the high that they like from the drugs. If they hide, no one will know how bad their habit really is and no one will ever know how much danger they possibly could be putting their selves in or their children in, if they have children. Remember they also fear of having their drug addiction come out in the public. Servere drug users eventually become dependant on someone who is more powerful in a negative way, due to the fact that eventually, they can no longer think for themselves. A leach will take advantage of these kind of people on drugs and thier circumstances. The video of Anna Nicole lashing out at her mother was mearly to me, nothing more than a cover up for guilt and blame for possibly some of her own actions in Daniel’s life and death. Personally, I can almost bet that the things that anna nicole was saying about her mother in the video,was a cover up for her drug use and the fear of everyone finding out. I am not say that either Anna Nicole or Stern intentionally did something to harm Daniel. But, I do believe that someone may have accidently gave Daniel the wrong medication, due to negligence. And it is a fact that Daniel was already taking a few perscription drugs that he sometimes had to take for medical reasons. virgie was hitting home with her accusations that someone knew something in the hospital room when Dannilynn was born, and where Daniel died. Their where only 3 people in the room, and now one of them is deceased. This only leaves Stern and Anna. Anyone who helps feed drugs to a pregnant woman he is supposed to love and to the unborn child that is supposed to be his, when she is hospitalized for drying out on drugs, is certainly not a loving and caring person. Stern could also be somewhat responsible for Daniel death for these very same reasons. I am not saying that Anna’s video of anger with her mother is all not true of her accusations, but one has to wonder when a fact of one of her accusations was not true. It almost appeared to me that she was just making a very evil story up for her fear and anger of Daniel’s death. As far as Dannilynn, An emergency custody order needs to be NOW. This child needs her real family, if it is a healthy situation, and she deserves a start her own life in a healthier atmosphere. My Prayers and condolences are with the family, friends and those who truely loved Anna. My wishes are to those who are real part of this tragedy in a negative way, is to just think twice about adding more hurt and confussion to the lives of those who are already suffering.

You dont see Britney Spears mom on Nancy Grace at night bashing Britney. Hmmmm…..I guess thats a new reform program I wasn’t aware of. I would think public humiliation would be better fit for sex offenders.
I have a family member that is an alcoholic. I guess I should post signs throughout the small town in which this person lives, outing his/her habits. I should speak of his/her dirty laundry all over town. That will help his/her addiction right? That will make him/her closer to me, right? and when he/she passes away I’m sure he/she would want me to be in charge of his/her arrangments. ESPECIALLY if I stood to make money off pictures of his/her DEAD body. Sobering thought isn’t it?

Here’s the thing — anyone can form an opinion or judgment on who they like and who they don’t, but above all else, Anna’s wishes for herself, her son and her daughter should be respected. Anna chose to bury Daniel in the Bahamas. Anna chose to buy extra plots. Anna named Howard as the father, and appointed him Executor in her will. Anna chose not to have contact with her mother.
So why now, after Anna’s death, are her wishes considered negotiable? It would seem that money, as always, is at the root of this particular evil. Money, by the way, which may or may NOT even come Dannielynn’s way. After all, Anna fought that battle for 11 years and had yet to have received the mythical 1/2 billion dollars.
I just wish that all the greedy lawyers and their disgusting clients would go home and let Anna rest in peace. Let Howard raise Dannielynn in peace. But as long as there’s a potential for media coverage and $, vultures like Opri and Arthur will continue to trample over Anna’s wishes. What a shame.

You can tell she cares zero for her daughter and what her daughter wanted otherwise the funeral would probably have been this weekend. Now their saying it may not take place until at least Tuesday. Her face will be disfigured by then and the mother doesn’t have a problem with that?? They also said that if the moms appeal doesn’t stick, she is going to appeal in a different court. I think if her daughter is disfigured enough, photos will be worth even more money. She thinks also that if Anna is buried in texas that place will become a shrine and a tourist site of which she can be close to and remain in the spotlight. Virgie Arthur has ruined any hope of Anna Nicole being buried looking beautiful. The poor woman is stuck at the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office naked and decomposing. Arthur couldn’t control Anna when she lived so she’s determined to control her in death. How pathetic!! That Anna would be stuck being near a woman she hated for eternity is a miscarriage of justice.
No matter if you like Howard or not, ANNA loved and trusted him. She named him as her executor.
Hopefully… they won’t drag this out much longer in Florida, and Anna can be laid to rest next to Daniel very soon.

To bad the mother did not spend the energy while Anna was alive to try and help her daughter (especially since she claims in all interviews that she knew her daughter was on drugs). If she loves her that much, why can’t she respect her daughter’s wish to be burried in Bahamas next to her son instead of listing how difficult it would be for her to visit the grave site. She didn’t visit her daughter in life, what makes us believe she would visit her daughter in death. As many also mentioned, I haven’t seen any tears or other emotional feelings expressed from this woman. Does seem to be a bit odd for a person that is supposed to be grieving to make all these interviews and appearances. As far as the baby goes, she says that she can provide a more stable home for the child. This is the home where Anna grew up and how stable did she turn out to be? With or without Anna, I have also counted up to 6 husbands so far, the apple doesn’t fall that far away from the tree. I hope that Larry and Howard can come to an agreement for the best interest of the child. If Larry is the father, I think he has shown that he is a credible person that would take good care of the baby should he be the father. He comes across as very honest and sincere. I do believe that Howard cared for Anna and that he cares for the baby. That doesn’t always mean that we do the right things but he has a chance to change that.

Some say Vergie is good, some say she is bad. Actions speak louder than words. Every action the woman takes now, shows the kind of person she really is. In the mist of all the news, court room drama, is Anna, who needs to be buried. Her mother Virgie is the “Only” obstacle in the way of Anna having a funeral and being buried. So, any woman that stops the burial of her daughter, for whatever reasons is not much of a mother.
I have watched this drama unfolds since day one. The only thing that comes to my mind is a story I heard years ago in church. It was a story of two women who claimed to be the mother of a little baby. The judge could not decide who the real mother was. In the end, the judge ordered that the baby be split in half and divided between the two women until one of the “mothers” spoke up and said “NO”, let the other “mother” have her/him. The judge then knew who the real mother was. A real mother would sacrifice her time with her child to see it be with someone else rather than it die. Although her daughter has already died,If Vergie really respected Anna and was not selfish, she would allow the Judge’s decision to stand even though she does not agree so her daughter can be buried and rest in peace. Those actions speak louder than words. How can a mother want her daughters body to remain unburied this long. SHe is a sorry excuse for a mother in my book.

I know from personal experience that there is only one reason why Anna hated her white trash mother. Her mother was obviously abusive to her as a child. A child just does not wake up one day and hate her mother. God forbid she gets her fat hands on that poor baby and abuses her as well.

I think Virgie confronted Anna on drug use and from Anna’s friends come statements that Anna tended to distance herself from anybody who tried to talk her out of drug use.

As Ms. Smith did, I also bought 2 extra plots when he passed away, it was not any accident that a mother does that. In fact it’s one of the only things we see clearly at that time of darkness in our lives. I hope Mrs. Arthur reconsiders and does what her daughter wanted and most of all deserves. I feel physically sick as I hear news that Anna Nicole’s body will spend yet another night breaking down, deteriorating in a cold box just to stave off the moment by moment natural progression of death. How is it none of your concern, when it’s highly likely all of these great benefits are coming from media sources that want this to drag on for as long as possible. As long as they can keep it going, they continue to make money off this. Don’t you see the closure that can come with her burial? How will Dannielynn feel as an adult? Even in her drug-sedated interviews, you could see that Anna hated Virgie Arthur. Anna spent all these years separating herself from this woman and now Virgie wants to gain back the control that she lost when Anna denounced her. If Virgie had loved and respected Anna as a child, they would not have been estranged at any time in their lives.

I think Virgie’s actions speak for themselves. After all, look at it this way – this “loving mom” won’t even let her dead daughter have the final peace of choosing to be buried next to her son, the person she loved most in the world, in the country where Anna chose to give birth to her daughter and where she buried that son and where she had a commitment ceremony with the one person she seems to have loved and trusted for a long time (besides Moe, her bodyguard, I mean) and that person is Howard K. Stern.
Dannielynn should go to the one person who wants her without the Marshall fortune and is willing to commit to that.

I am overwelmed by the entire situation! Anna Nicole Smith died! She loved her son, Daniel who is buried in the Bahamas. It is no suprise where she would have wanted to be layed to rest. Burial plots were purchase in the Bahamas. End of story. Anna Nicole Smith’s baby girl, DannyLynn, the name she gave her, does not only strengthen the bond with her daughter but also her son. Anna Nicole Smith may have behaviored in ways I would not have, but she made her decisions. She based her decision not to have a relationship with her birth mother, Virgie Arthur,on her experiences (not any one elses) with her. If even half of what Anna Nicole Smith said of the way Virgie treated her was true, than the woman should be held accountable, not give Anna Nicole’s body and Anna Nicole’s baby. Anna Nicole Smith should have been buried beside her son days ago and to continue this course of action is a disgrace to all involved. Virgie Arthur is an evil, greedy old hag, in my opinion, I am grateful that the Florida Courts ruled to allow Anna Nicole to be buried by her son in the Bahamas, which everyone in the world knew was her wishes. Are you stupid enough to think she has the money or used her own money to fly back and forth to all these tv appearances and stay in the luxery hotels she has been staying in everywhere and all the time she has been in Florida and flying back and forth to the Bahamas. Let alone all the other expenses, such as air fair, rental cars, food & clothing to all of these apperances. If you don’t want to believe anything else, check into that. It is easy to find out what her retirement is then just figure in $500 to a thousand a night (or more) for her motel rooms and all the food catering services she has used, limo services and other vehicle rentals, airline flights costs, etc. etc. and attorney costs and fees. For attorneys at this level you have to put up 50 to 100 thousand just to retain them, let alone go to trial all day long for weeks at a time. Virgie has sold out her biological daughter to these people for tv coverage and press coverage. That is not love. That shows you how sick and evil this woman is.
I feel that Virgie is such a dangerous, unstable person that she should never be allowed anywhere near Dannielynn without armed security present at all times. Anna stated on tv and in the press many times after her daughter was born that she never wanted this evil woman Virgie to ever be near her daughter. This woman’s only agenda is for her personal greed, monetary purposes and getting all the press and on any tv show she can. Thank God that Anna got away from this evil woman years ago and did everything in her power to keep this woman out of her and her childrens lives. God Bless and take care of Anna, Daniel and Dannielynn and Howard K. Stern. All of this is my own personal opinions and I do believe that Howard is the only person ever in Anna’s life who truly loved her and her children with all his heart and soul. Howard deserves everyone’s support, personally and legally and he deserves custody of Dannielynn and Anna’s estate as Anna proved her love and intentions to the world by committing herself to Howard and he to her in their earlier ceremony. The wedding was delayed due to Anna grieving for her son and unfortunately she died before ever being able to fulfill her wishes to be legally married to Howard. But her moral wishes should be carried out that they were morally married in the eyes of God and Howard is her husband.
How many of you ignorant fools have a Legal Last Will and Testament that addresses and appoints the custody and/or guardians of any children you have or may have and states the division of all your assets and property, real and personal? Anna just assumed that Howard as her husband, would receive her entire estate and guardianship of Dannielynn. And yes, I am sure Howard advised her many times and for years what the legal requirements were; and not for his or on his own behalf but because he knew Anna’s exact, precise wishes and wanted her to put it in writing and make it legal; but as we all know and heard straight from Anna’s mouth, that no one was going to tell her what to do because of the horrible abused life she had lived at the hands of her biological mother until she ran away. That Anna was going to do what Anna wanted to do and because of that; Anna is not getting her wishes fulfilled due to all these greedy, evil people contesting her wishes. Morally, everyone in the legal profession knows what Anna’s wishes were; and knows that Anna wanted Howard to have it all and that Anna just thought Howard could make it all right because he was an attorney. Anna was not stupid; she was bright; but she did not stop and think that all of these scum bags would immediately come crawling out of the sewers trying to steal from her and husband Howard and daughter Dannielynn. I feel Anna’s favorite Psalm would be Psalm 69 and she would want that Psalm to speak for her to all these evil people and Pray to God that he follow that Psalm for her, I know that I do.

I have seen Howard K. Stern on Entertainment Tonight this week, and he LOOKS like a grieving husband. He looks soggy from tears and exhausted, like he really grieves for Anna Nicole, the way people look when they are devastated by the loss of someone they loved.
Granted, I’m generalizing: everyone grieves differently. But he does look sick with grief.
Larry Birkhead seems very young to me but he certainly doesn’t seem to be grieving. At least he doesn’t pretend. And for that I give him credit.
But Virgie Arthur is a caricature of a grieving mother (anyone notice how she looks out of the corner of her eyes to see if anyone is watching her when she cries?). She can’t even PRETEND to be sincere. It’s very strange to watch her. She’s always sizing up her audience.
Howard Stern would be the most stable parent for Dannielynn, I think. His mother and sister are there helping him with her now. It’s really hard to watch the videos on ET of Anna Nicole cooing to the baby so lovingly and knowing she can’t raise her. Daniel really loved his mother, so Anna must have been a good mother to him as she would have been to Dannielynn if she had lived. It’s all such a shame.
Larry (I heard) lives in a slummy one-bedroom apartment; how would he care for her? He doesn’t seem to be a very stable father figure right now, biological or not. And his income as a photographer doesn’t sound too lucrative at this point to provide a home with a nanny for Dannielynn, which is something he would need. It is my understanding that his attorney, Debra Opri, is fronting him the money for all this travel, lodging and clothes. If Dannielynn didn’t stand to possibly inherit millions of dollars, do you think Opri’d be representing Larry Birkhead? Not a chance in Lawyer’s Hell.

I, too, am a mother of an adult child who is a drug addict and I am a R.N. and worked in a chemical dependency unit and know the mindset of drug addicted people. They, especially those not seeking or willing to get “clean and sober” become: very manipulative, angry, hateful, unhappy, dishonest,out of control,and in DENIAL(DON’T EVEN KNOW I AM LYING)to the HILT!!These are signs and symptoms of drug abuse and drug induced people! They become very ill: emotionally, socially,mentally,and physically. Anna did not want TO HEAR about her drug use that is why she drove away the ones that wanted to help her. Yes I am a mother of two young adults and have had my own son go through drug problems. I am also extremely close with both my children and had them when I was a teenager but let’s be honest here, she is not in this for Mother of The Year! She is in it for the money. Howard gets my vote any day of the week. Besides, what happened to following through with what Anna wants here? A mother also knows a mother’s love for their child by listening and looking at that mother. This woman was villifying Anna before she died. Anna spoke from her heart in her last interview. I love how so many people refer to “real” father. In my lifetime, my “REAL” father was there for me from my birth.
The man that got my mother preganent left before I was born. I saw him a few times in my life until he died in my teens.
I thank god my mom had my dad. He provided for me and my sister. He loved us and taught us. Most of all he treated my mother with respect.

I agree with you ..you were fortunate that you had a Father in your life..but this was not the same situation as with Larry.He has been fighting to be in his daughter’s life. He didn’t abandon her. The second he “started to make waves” about Anna’a drug abuse esp. when pregnant.. she and her enabler, Howard fled to the Bahamas. Howard was the one who checked out Bahamian law,birth cert.,and Mothers/fathers rights,etc. They ditched Larry. Maybe he threatened to prove her unfit? And maybe, rightfully so! I can’t imagine if i was refused to see my child, and people lied about the real parent, and was moved to another country, and falsely having another person’s name on my child’s birth cert. so and so on. These are dispicable acts! I cannot imagine being a part of any practice like this. Howard kept feeding her drugs,knowing she was pregnant,knowing how addicted she was along with others. I say they a all not innocent. I can not imagine feeding someone drugs or giving anything bad to another human…not even a dog would I! But her “friends” did anything for her. They wouldn’t even call 911 right away. She had 105 fever..no one helped her or got her to the hospital because “SHE SAID SO”!! What kind of mother would interrupt her daughters funeral in a last ditch effort to prevent her from being buried next to her “beloved” grandson. Literally, she delayed the burial as the hearse carrying the body of her “beloved” daughter baked in the sun in a last minute appeal to the Bahamian court to prevent the burial. I am the mother of a child who has had life long addiction problems. I have his dead baby’s ashes here with me, sitting on top of my dog Buddy’s ashes. If my son passes before me I will put the ashes of his baby together with his. I think Anna Nicole knew what she felt about her mother, drugs or no drugs. This woman not only failed her daughter in life, but in death as well, and though I never knew much about Anna Nicole Smith in life, her death has brought me to tears.

Watching this mess, being a mother that lost a child, and having had a mother that is as cold as stone, that only cares about you if you let her tell you how to live your life. This Vergie is not a true mother. No matter what your child put you through, a true mother would not let her childs body sit and rot just because you did not get your way. She is still trying to control her daughter even in death. That is all she is about, no tenderness, all control. Even at the burial. Shame on her,what a useless excuse for a mother. So ironic that Anna fought the court for her deceased husbands millions for years. no “will” to leave to her, just an alleged “intent”, for 12 YEARS in court,even to the supreme court!! I have to say that Vergie just makes me ill. Did you hear that she got to see the baby but Howard wouldn’t let her touch her??!! Good for Howard for sticking with Annas wishes. I also watched ET last night and it had the funeral on it. Howard really stuck it to her mother and I thought it was great. I think its nice that he and Larry seem to be co-existing. That way whoever the father is, maybe the other will be able to be an “uncle” to her. They both loved Anna so they can pass that love on to the baby. I just hope Vergie goes away and stays away. However, you don’t go on national tv and hang out all the dirty laundry about your daughter to the world. Its wrong and meanspirited. I believe Annas upbringing is a huge reason why she did drugs. I also was a drug addict at one time and still could make rational choices and decisions for myself. Mine was caused by my crappy childhood. If Anna hated her mother as much as she claimed to, then we have to respect that and honor her wishes.

I never really have thoughts about celebrities, etc., but I have now. Who can really say what type of a relationship Anna and her mother had? Anna can, her mother can. As for how Virgie has responded to Anna’s death, that’s another thing. I cannot for the life of me understand how this woman dragged out the burial of her daughter. She should have some form of respect for her daughter. Anna obviously loved her son very much. She chose to bury him in the Bahamas, not in Texas, or anywhere else. Quite frankly, that is also where Anna should have been buried, in the Bahamas, near HER FAMILY. That is where she chose for HER FAMILY to be buried, and she should be with her son. All her mother did was show disrespect to her daughter, she should have let her be laid to rest quickly and peacefully. I cannot comprehend, as a mother, this womans reasoning. If it were my child, I certainly would have allowed her to be buried near her child, that young mans mother. Anna, drugs or otherwise, chose not to have a relationship with her mother. She had a very close one with her son, and deserved to be near him. As for all this crap between these people over the baby. There is a father. It needs to be determined who indeed that is. The baby belongs with her father, her living relative. A grandmother is NOT entitled to a grandchild when there is a father out there. Howard needs to comply, for the childs sake, and give DNA proving he is or is not the father, even though he is on the birth certificate. This poor little girl, she is a human being, not a piece of property. All parties need to get that straight, and consider that above any possible money she may be entitled to. She certainly deserves a loving, caring, nurturing family, father. What kind of a life does she have to look forward to if it starts out this way? And is there not a guardian appointed that should be looking out for her welfare? Shouldn’t he or her be determining what’s in the childs best interest? He should be protecting her interests, demanding paternity testing, and explaining to Virgie she is not entitled to her grandchild.

I read an article about how many husbands Vergie had over the years; don’t know if all that out there is true, but it said Vergie Arthur had five?six? husbands. He had almost become part of Virgie Arthur’s posse in the court, until she finally showed her TRUE COLORS. Nobody has mentioned how gallant was the coroner, Dr.Perper. He saved Judge Larry Siebold’s inquiry from running amok by his telephone intervention,and then like a knight on a white steed he rode beside her body all the way to her final place. You could see his concern in his eyes. The man was a prince. It is obvious to me that Howard Stern loved Anna unconditionally, and the baby too. He saw she needed someone to take care of her and I think he did his best for little remuneration (not:renumeration as one of the lawyers said it). He served her as a sort of companion, caregiver, lawyer and agent it appears. Were those lawyers in court trying to tell us he was overpaid for what he did? Wonder what they were being paid and what the sources of their payment would be.

I am glad she put that pic on the grave. She loves her DTR. It is Bahamian tradition for everyone to partake of shoveling dirt onto the grave. Not everyone participated( not familiar, I guess, with this.)Virgie finished and it just happenned to be 51 shovels of dirt left. And angry.. YES! Most people ARE angry when a loved one dies! Haven’t any of you heard of the “GRIEVING PROCESS?” There are 5 stages to the grieving process: 1)Denial(and shock,) 2)Anger, 3)Bargaining, 4)Depression(Sadness/Lonliness) and lastly, 5)Acceptance (or resolution of grief.)You’re darn right she’s angry. And most people, if they believe in any form of God, supreme being, higher power, etc. they are usually angry at their God and of course circumstances,etc. The grieving process takes at least a year and “UNRESOLVED” grief (hung up on any/all of these stages)will ultimately lead to “Clinical Depression.” I personally do not think she meant to be disrespectful to her dtr’s grave. She was emotionally distraught! And that shoveling was her emotional release of her anger. Alot of people will yell, scream, hit pillows, punching bag,drink/drug, etc. I believe, that anger came out of her, not even realizing at that time, that it was even going to surface… but it did. You can clearly see her pain in every shovel. I felt her pain just watching her.( anyone see the “ADAM WALSH” movie when the father found out what happened to his son? He went bazurk in his anger and rightfully so.) The grieving process can occur for ANY LOSS: death, divorce, kidnapping,illness, loss of a job or home, a limb,etc. Anna was still grieving for her son. She was in DENIAL for a while… that is why she probably couldn’t bury him for about 2 wks. Was she direspectful for that? What mother doesn’t bury her child?.. you ask? Anna fought for her late husband’s $$$$$$ for 12 YEARS AFTER HIS DEATH and Stern is STILL going to fight. I am sure Marshall’s family thinks she was disrespectful, too.( and that was a shorter lived relationship.) Seems like Anna and Mother are alike in MANY ways. Was Anna disrespectful… OR EXHIBITING HER LOSS ? Well, So is her Mother, and everyone grieves a little bit differently. I had a friend go through a divorce, had to sell their home,his kids not with him on a daily basis.. etc. He went through a profound depression and he couldn’t get over his losses and the dynamics of the circumstances. He couldn’t get thru those stages and RESOLUTION has not come for him, even yet. He is still grieving and as he would say: “STUCK” thus he now suffers from clinical depression. This has been a long road and it has been over 2 years! But eveyone’s coping skill are different.Seems to be such a lack of EMPATHY in our world today. I am trulely disheartened. Cut Virgie some slack. So MANY are being too judgemental and I would be AFRAID of THAT crucifixion and SIN!!

I think that Ford Shelley has most of those items and they are being kept at the sherrif’s office in his hometown….He actually brought one of the videos he had stolen, to the court proceedings..The one where she has a clown face…It was a miscarriage of justice that it was even allowed, considering #1 He stole it and #2 Im pretty sure that in a normal court proceeding that would not have been allowed. I applaud Virgie for speaking out to her daughter about her grandson’s death. Also, Virgie really loved her daughter because she was honest with her about her drug abuse. She loved her because she didn’t sugar coat her poor behavior as acceptable. If more people had been honest with her such as Moe, she may still be alive. DRUGS KILL!!! No matter what you think of Virgie Arthur she was Anna Nicole’s mother yes she had her ups and downs as do many millions of people with their own mothers.
But come on people there was testimony that Anna and Virgie did have a relationship until Howard entered the picture and get real Virgie publicly stated what most of the public believe and that is that her grandchild she believed died because of Howard Stern that is what Anna was gunning at her for in the ET clip.
Virgie has every right to want her child and grandchild buried in Texas, she has every right to fight to protect her grandaughter and she has stated on the record that she would support Larry Birkhead as the father, Larry in fact also claimed in court that he desired Virgie to have a role in Dannilynn’s life. I can only think that as a grandmother her bid for custody has got something to do with ensuring if Larry fails to get custody that Virgie can step in. You don’t know what advice her legal team has instructed her but get off it the woman deserves more then the garbage she has been thrown at her.

It was already stated that Daniel did not like the bahamas he was only there to visit his mother briefly in the hospital when he died! It was Howard Stern who purchased the four plots as he claims he was sent to remember Anna was not there!
And keep in mind why would he purchase 4? A baby girl who will one day grow up and get married, live somewhere else in the world, have a spouse and children of their own needs a buriel plot why? How many of your babies have buriel plots???

On ET’s (Howard’s hired PR team) aired and grossly made commentaries regarding Virgie’s 51 shovels of dirt, I believe Virgie as myself wanted to do what last thing she could for her own baby girl. Let us not forget Howard shoveled the first load of dirt, Howard put the first rose on her casket, Howard seemed to run the whole show including the ET cameras.
So what she shoveled all the remaining dirt in that heat on her child’s grave, what is sinister in that? She walked across the already sodded grave to get to the other side perhaps because ET was in the way, how many of you go to a grave and do not walk upon the grave to kneel at the headstone? Do you stand 6 feet off of it on each direction? It’s sickening what is being done to this woman and to you people above that minimize the loss of this woman’s child it’s disgusting!
What right did Howard Stern’s sister have to walk up to Virgie and tell her She disgusts her on the day she buried her daughter. She had every right to try and halt the burial, I would not want my loved ones buried in a foreign country especially when the reason they were even in that country was for all the wrong reasons. I did not know that it was a bahamian tradition I really gave it some thought and watched Virgie’s body language, she looked so distraught and I can’t imagine feeling that overwhelming sorrow and loss under the glare of ET cameras.

Well this is where you have to separate yourself from this situation. I truly have empathy for you and understand why and how you could come to feel what you do but the question is “Was Virgie a rotten mother?” Why then did her daughter allow her mother to take on the burden of raising Daniel for the first six years of his life?
Do you believe for one second that Anna Nicole Smith whom everyone said loved Daniel more then life would leave her infant son in the custody of Virgie Arthur for six whole years if Virgie Arthur was abusive? No Way and that alone shatters every purported allegation made against Virgie by a drug induced and angry Anna.
This woman was a police officer, she admitted in a court of law she made mistakes but her hardest challenge was taking a tough love approach with her daughter on the drug issues and losing that child to a world of enablers like Howard K. Stern. Just like Larry Birkhead anyone that opposed Anna or did not condone what she wanted got tossed and this happened because their was a weasel like Howard K. Stern waiting in the shadows.
I have walked on graves of my loved ones and I was not being disrespectful, when I go to a funeral and I am forced to have to walk over the grave I do so with no ill intent, when I wish to pay my respects I approach a headstone by walking on top of the grave, I do so with no ill will, I admittingly do not stand off the grave or away from it because I always need to reach the headstone to place flowers, to read it, touch it but never the less I too am guilty of what you are condemning Virgie for.

I hear ya! And agree with everything you have said. Daniel’s body was not laid to rest for 6 WEEKS (partly for autopsy purposes) AND Anna didn’t want him burried yet. She was so wacked out on drugs and grieving that she took an ? approach to his death/burial. Proven fact that alcoholics/drug addicts CANNOT grieve properly. Drug abuse had a profound affect on her.. and she wouldn’t let him go. Investigation…? they did not do there job. Just now doing a coroner’s inquest.. I believe March 22, almost 7 months later..yeah, now that the mother is dead ,too, with suspicion of Methadone… same as Daniel?! Guess the Bahamian’s figure, they better do something. There is no good, logical, reason that Methadone should have been taken to FL (from Bahamas)since their plans were to only be there to buy a yacht. She couldn’t be without it for a few days? And if for severe Pain…Docs, (NOT CROOKED DOCS) could provide a host of others meds, even morphine, NOT A JUG OF METHADONE!!! And why were they in Stern’s name?
