The latest on Anna Nicole Smith.

  • TMZ has learned Larry Birkhead has met the infant he believes is his daughter.

As we first reported, Birkhead and Howard K. Stern have been in settlement negotiations for several days. Birkhead’s lawyer, Debra Opri, told TMZ paternity and custody of the little girl are not negotiable. But it would seem Stern is showing signs of bending by allowing Birkhead to visit with the baby.

The meeting took place this past weekend at Horizons in the Bahamas, the house in which Stern is currently living.

  • A Florida appeals court issued a stay Monday in the dispute over Anna Nicole Smith’s body, ruling that her remains cannot be moved to the Bahamas until the court hears a challenge from the former Playmate’s estranged mother, Virgie Arthur.

Arthur had filed a motion with Judge Larry Seidlin, asking him to reconsider Friday’s ruling which paved the way for Anna to be buried on the Bahamas. He denied that request. Arthur also filed an appeal with the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, which has now agreed to hear the challenge.

  • Florida circuit court Judge Larry Seidlin has achieved his goal – he will have a TV show on the CBS Network! The details of the show have not yet been released, but one thing is for sure: Judge Seidlin earned his piece of the pie!

All of last week, Judge Larry Seidlin shocked us with his odd style and personal annotations, but is he brilliant or just plain crazy? His wife Belinda, who has known him since her teen years and has been married to him for seven, thinks he is “brilliant”.

“I don’t think him to be crazy at all,” Belinda told ABC News Law & Justice.

“I find him to be brilliant, and that’s tough to say when you’re married to someone for a long time.”

Belinda also told reporters, “People who know him, and people who meet him on the street all say the same thing, ‘You should have your own television show.’”

Judge Seidlin, who gained a lot of media attention for the way he handled the Anna Nicole Smith case, was funny, personable, down-to-earth, and at times, a little annoying – but should he have his own TV show? I can’t see how anyone could possibly say no.

Face it; no one could take their eyes off the television all week.

If Howard Stern is really interested in Dannylyn Hope he should take a DNA test, but if he doesnt want to take the test I prefer to give it to the mother, who is the next of kin.
