A couple were told they could not get their TV repaired under their guarantee – as it had fallen victim to passive smoking.
David and Karen Benzies, from Sighthill, were left stunned when an engineer blamed nicotine as the source of the faults with their two-year-old set.
They were then told that their three-year guarantee did not protect their set from damage caused by cigarettes.
