New York police arrested two men who they claim stole the bone of a fourth-century saint from a church.

John Angelis and Georgiou Kostas allegedly took a silver box that supposedly contains the ankle bone of St. Demetrius from a church named after the saint and then sold the object to a pawn shop, the New York Post reported.

Police found the object at the pawn shop and traced it back to the suspects, who were charged with possession of stolen property. Kostas was also charged with grand larceny charges.
